The BSSS Institute of Advanced Studies (BSSS IAS), Bhopal celebrated its maiden Foundation day on 2nd August 2022. The BSSS IAS was established by the Archdiocese of Bhopal and co-funded by the Bhopal School of Social Sciences to meet the educational requirements of the changing business scenario henceforth striving constantly to make a landmark in the field of Management education. Mr. Girish Agarwaal, Promoter Director of Dainik Bhaskar Group, was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Most Rev. Dr. A.A.S. Durairaj, Archbishop, Chairman of BSSS IAS presided over the function. The BSSS IAS is envisioned to emerge as a top MBA Institution in Central India in order a pivotal role in professional education as per the needs of the industry and other stakeholders. Since the inception of the institute, the BSSS IAS is trying to be the best in the fields of Research, Consultancy and Training in addition to Teaching which is a judicious mix of social science, management and field exposure. The MBA programme aims to develop and equip students for career opportunities in management education and research and combines both rigorous course work as well as empirical research with strong industry backup for better placement opportunities for the students.
Shri Girish Agarwaal, the Chief Guest, a proud alumni of BSSS College emphasised that the young managers should try to develop diverse skill sets in order to meet the challenges of the ever evolving business world. He reiterated that in the coming years the focus should be on innovation and constructive decisions to ensure our resilience and readiness to emerge as an economic power with more focus on "Make in India for the World".
Most Rev. Dr. A.A.S. Durairaj, Archbishop of Bhopal, Chairman, BSSS IAS congratulated the Executive Director and all others on the academic and other achievements made by the institute in the maiden year of inception. He called upon the BSSS IAS community to do better to take the institute to greater heights with abundant zeal to achieve the vision and mission of BSSS IAS. He also set the road map for the institute with the specific time frame of 5 years.
Dr. Fr. John P.J., Executive Director, BSSS IAS presented the Report in which he sketched out the details of the laurels achieved by the institute within a year of its inception. He reiterated that faculty members of the institute have contributed to the academic field by publishing books and research papers. The institute was able to carry out research and consultancy projects from industries and other organisations which made a way for industry-institute interactive relationships. The other big achievement of the institute in the last one year was the BSSS IAS signed MoU with Assumption University, Thailand to initiate its flagship MS in Management programme in order to practice the concept of "Glocal" by offering an International Programme for the fresh MBAs and also for the industry executives.
Shri Girish Agarwaal, the Chief Guest of the programme announced the best paper awards of the National Conference titled Resurging Indian Economy by 2030: Transcending Traditional Practices which was held on 28th and 29th July 2022.
The programme was attended by many dignitaries from industry and academia.
